Edinbugh is no ordinary city. Walk a 100 miles of streets, visit dozens of tourist attractions and entertainment landmarks, eat hundreds of meals and drink uncountable beers, just to make sure that you get the absolute best out of your time in Scotland's capital.

Edinburgh International Airport is about 10 miles out of the city centre and around a 30-45 minute ride using public transport.

From Edinburgh Airport you  can catch a taxi straight to the Adria which will cost between GBP 20 - 30 for a oneway journey. Alternatively you could catch the Airlink Bus into the city centre to Waverley Bridge at the train station which only costs GBP 6.00 per person for a return ticket.

From the train station you could either take a taxi which would take only 5 minutes and cost around GBP 5.00 for a oneway journey or walk from there which, would take around 15 minutes.

When walking, make your way up onto Princes Street and turn right to walk east. At the end of Princes Street turn left to go down Leith Street. Pass John Lewis department store, a roundabout, the Omni leisure and 12 screen Vue Cinema complex (a glass building) and the Playhouse Theatre on your right-hand side. At the 2nd roundabout turn right onto Blenheim Place and walk up towards Greenside Church at the top of the hill and onto Royal Terrace.

Edinburgh Waverley Train Station is about 0.5 miles from the Adria House and a taxi would take only 5 minutes and cost around GBP 5.00 for a oneway journey. Alternatively you could walk which would take around 15 minutes.

When walking, make your way to exit 4 (Calton Road). After coming up then down some steps cross the road turning left to go under a high, arched bridge. Pass John Lewis department store, a roundabout, the Omni leisure and 12 screen Vue Cinema complex (a glass building) and the Playhouse Theatre on your right-hand side. At the 2nd roundabout turn right onto Blenheim Place and walk up towards Greenside Church at the top of the hill and onto Royal Terrace.

St. Andrew's Bus Station is about 0.5 miles from the Adria House and a taxi would take only 5 minutes and cost around GBP 5.00 for a oneway journey. Alternatively you could walk which would take around 15 minutes.

When walking, make your way to the Elder Street exit to walk down to York Place. Turn right to walk east towards the Playhouse Theatre. At the end of York Place, cross the road to Picardy Place. Walking towards the theatre, cross the road directly in front of it. Pass it on your right-hand side. At the roundabout turn right onto Blenheim Place and walk up towards Greenside Church at the top of the hill and onto Royal Terrace.

With Lothian Buses why not purchase a Dayticket for only £3.00 for unlimited travel all day. Tickets for children are also available at £2.40.

Alternatively First Bus operate a comprehensive bus services in a large area which stretches from the Borders, through Edinburgh and the Lothians and as far as Stirlingshire and Falkirk in Central Scotland.

We would ask all guests to observe that there are Restricted Metered Parking regulations.

Although there are no private carparking facilites at the Adria House, there are ample metered parking spaces available on Royal Terrace itself and at a rate of £1.20 per hour during Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Maximum purchase of 4 hours at any one time.

Please note that overnight parking is free and all day on Saturdays and Sundays when week-day restrictions are lifted.
