The Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre, Scotland’s home to West End Musicals, is just around the corner as is the Omni leisure/entertainment centre with it's 12 screen Vue Cinema complex and Highlight Comedy Club.
A further 5 minutes walk onto Queen Street is another comedy club The Stand and Jools Holland's live music venue The Jam House.
For those of you requiring a little "retail therapy" - George Street,
John Lewis, St. James Shopping Centre, Princes Mall, Jenners,
Harvey Nichols and Multrees Walk are all on the doorstep.
Ideally situated for monuments, museums and galleries too.
We're a great base camp when attending the Edinburgh Festivals. There are 100's of venues just a stone's throw away.
Try a mouth-watering pre-theatre meal at MAMA ROMA before catching a marvellous show across the road from them at the Playhouse Theatre.
Also just a short stroll away in the opposite direction and standing against the spectacular backdrop of Arthur’s Seat is the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official residence in Scotland of Her Majesty the Queen. Sited alongside it is Our Dynamic Earth Science Centre and the new Scottish Parliament.

Continue up the Royal Mile/High Street and make your way to Edinburgh Castle which dominates the skyline and is home to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
What about coming along to see the Giant Pandas at Edinburgh Zoo. You know you want to !! Maybe you just want to enjoy the tranquil haven of the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Built on and around seven hills, Edinburgh is a remarkable place in which surprising changes of level occur at every turn. Calton Hill where we are situated being one of them. Climb the Calton Hill and enjoy the picture perfect postcard views of Edinburgh from this unique vantage point and find out why the city is known as the "Athens of the North". The seclusion offered by the treelined, terraced gardens skirting Calton Hill, yet the close proximity of the Adria to the city centre, provides guests with an ideal location just to rest or explore Edinburgh from this base. Venture out on foot or, for those travelling further afield, use of the excellent and regular bus service available close at hand.
The main city centre of Edinburgh and it's attractions are all very walkable from our location however our nearest bus stop is only a 5 minute walk away and you can just about go anywhere from there. It's easy to get around the whole city using the local bus service so, for unlimited travel all day why not purchase a day ticket for £3.20. A short bus journey North will take you to Edinburgh's stylish waterfront retail and leisure development in the historic port of Leith. Here you will find the Royal Yacht Britannia which has moved to her final berth at Ocean Terminal. The efficient bus service can also take you all the way out to the stunning 15th century Rosslyn Chapel to the South of the city, the picturesque Cramond Village to the West and the rocky beaches of Seton Sands to the East.
